Cornerstone Manor, the women's and children's division of the Buffalo City Mission, in collaboration with the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, began a fundraising campaign in 2003 to finance the purchase of land on which Cornerstone's new, larger home would be built. This would enable them to service twice as many women and children. This would also enable Cornerstone's old location to be acquired for the Medical Campus. Cornerstone came to Flynn & Friends for help in branding the campaign.
We christened it "Turning the Corner," which represents the objective of the collaboration both literally (moving to a new location) and conceptually (movin' on up). It also fit nicely with the Cornerstone name. The logo we designed is a clever illustration of the campaign's name with figures representing women and children.
