The What:

International foundry products manufacturer Vesuvius wanted literature, news, addresses, and other information readily available to its multi-lingual constituency.

And How:

Capitalizing on the fact that the company's name comes from an active volcano, we created an "erupting" splash page using the vector-based animation program Macromedia Flash. We further used the program to vocalize the word "welcome" in English, French, German, and Spanish at the top level of each of the site's four language versions. Product literature and data sheets are shown in thumbnail view throughout the site, and can be enlarged and read on-line by simply clicking on a link.
